If you listen to the media and to some of the top leaders in the AI industry, they will tell you to forget about coding and to pursue something else. This is just plain bad advice.

The reality is that just about every job will be affected by AI, not just software engineers. If you have an interest in coding, there is no reason why you shouldn't learn computer science. There will continue to be plenty of jobs in this area. It will remain one of the most impactful, high-paying, and rewarding careers of this century. However, you should understand that the way we code or build projects is changing as we speak. Most engineers are using AI tools to help them with coding today. While it's impressive what AI can already do, it's quite far from becoming autonomous, where it does everything on its own, if that is even possible.
